I am Dr Mahsa Makki Alamdari, also known as Dr Misha McKee
Visual practitioner and researcher with over 10 years of experience across arts, illustration, research, design, and cultural projects in academic, community, and industry settings. I recently completed a PhD, exploring themes of art, migration, and cultural identity through practice-based research. I am an award-winning and published illustrator with seven published children’s books. I have participated in several exhibitions, including my solo exhibition at SASA Gallery, SALA Festival, and a peer-reviewed exhibition held by UniSA and University of Newcastle. My publications include peer-reviewed journal articles, NTROs, translated books, and conference papers. I have been a recipient of multiple awards including an RTPi Scholarship, and a prestigious Gold Medal in literature.
